When I began trading Forex in 2004, I was convinced that by trading a few hours each day, in a few years, I would be as rich as Warren Buffett.  I quickly learned that there is no Holy Grail system where a full-time trader could make $100,000 each month.  I did learn, however, that successful trading is 70% psychology, 20% money management, 10% method, and never to overlook the relationship between risk and reward.

In building my business, I set a goal of 35% annual return on investment.  Anything more is a bonus.  Our philosophy is simple.  In fact, it is our company slogan – “Real-Time Trading.  Real World Results.”  By helping new traders set realistic goals and our making trading results available every 30 minutes, we help them learn proper money management and help them build their trading skills.

My trading style is swing trading – cut losses short and let profits run.  Each trade placed has a maximum stop loss of 120 pips and a maximum take profit of 280 pips.  That translates to a very achievable goal that only 45% of trades must be profitable.  But heed this warning: following a string of winning trades is not the time to enter.  Most trading systems will give back some of their profits.  Consider entering when a system is losing or going through a drawdown.  The system has already absorbed some of the losses and is possibly poised for an upswing that will work to your benefit.

Bio: Winsor A.G.A. Hoang

Born on June 20, 1974, Winsor grew up in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam with his older brother and older sister. At the age of 4, Winsor discovered that he wanted to become an electrical engineer. Winsor excelled in math and was able to perform long division with decimal places when he was only 7 years old. In 1986, Winsor and his family immigrated to Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Winsor obtained first class electronic technologist diploma at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 1994 and graduated with a B.Eng. (Honours) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria in 1997. Winsor has worked for large Canadian high tech companies such as: PMC-Sierra, Sierra Wireless, Nortel Networks and Research in Motion (RIM) as a Test Engineer specializing in automated test systems.

Winsor has over 12 years of trading experience in both stock and Forex markets. He was introduced to the Forex market in 2004 and has not looked back since. For three years, Winsor coached one on one as a Forex trading mentor. Guided by a belief that automated trading would be a valuable tool for the average investors, he began developing Forex expert advisors for the MT4 trading platform. Being both a good trader and a talented engineer, Winsor was able to apply his skills in high tech automation and transferred them into Forex automated trading systems.
